Training Structure

SWAN has invested years of training research and experience to formulate an optimum Ninjitsu training schedule and structure for our Ninja camps. Our Ninjitsu schedule and structure is designed to pack as much technical, physical, and mental training in as possible, without overtiring or overtraining students, and while still offering ample time for meals, snacks, personal time, rest, relaxation, and recreation. The days are usually formatted and scheduled into blocks, with meal times, breaks, and personal or free-training time after the day. Sleep is an important recovery factor that is not ignored at SWAN due to the high amount and intensity of training. Wake-up is usually around 7:00am. Throughout the day, there are block sessions of training and fitness, meal breaks, snack and supplement breaks, and a large break at the end of the day for free and personal time. Total fitness and training for the each respective camp day usually averages a total of about six hours.

Note: That this is a structured guideline and example, and that during many days, we don't follow a schedule due to the particulars of that training day and/or the situation. Examples of deviants in the schedule justifying variation could consist of a rock climbing day, a backcountry and camp training expedition, outdoor stealth, survival etc.
